App stores
The SimplePark listing in the App Store and Google Play: name, subtitle, description, keywords and screenshots.
How we write the listing
The listing is the first page of SimplePark most people ever read, so it follows the same rules as the rest: tone of voice, writing rules and the word list. It is published in Dutch, written in Dutch first. The English below is the full translation, and the character limits apply to the Dutch text, so check them again after writing it.
- Lead with the fact, then the price. People decide in the first two lines, so those say what the app does and what it costs.
- Name the top-up fee in the listing itself. The description says € 0.29 per parking action and € 0.29 per top-up. Only the subtitle and the screenshots may carry a single number, with the full picture one tap away.
- Claim only what the app does today. No garages, P+R or charging, no ratings and no user numbers (see writing rules).
- One name, everywhere. SimplePark in the name field, with no keywords added to it.
App Store
Name and subtitle
| Field | Copy | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Name | SimplePark | 30 |
| Subtitle | Parked in seconds. | 30 |
The name is just the name; it is the same on the home screen and in the listing. The subtitle is the line from the website and social, so people meet one sentence in every place.
Promotional text
Choose a zone, set an end time and we stop your parking action on time. You pay the parking rate plus € 0.29 per parking action and € 0.29 per top-up. No subscription.
Limit 170. This is the only field we can change without a new version, so it is where a season, a city or a new feature goes. Whatever we put here, the price sentence stays, with both fees in it.
Description
You arrive. Choose your zone, set an end time and walk on. Parked in seconds.
You see the municipality's parking rate and the maximum parking time before you start. We add € 0.29 per parking action, and € 0.29 when you top up. No subscription.
Nobody drives somewhere to park. You are on your way to a meeting, a birthday, the doctor. Parking is the part in between, and it should take as little of your time and attention as possible.
So we take it off your hands. Your zone is already found. You set an end time and we stop your parking action at that moment, also when your phone is off. We remind you before it ends, and you can extend from your lock screen.
And you always know the price. You see it before you start, and it is the same afterwards. If you pay automatically, we collect what you parked once a month and there is no top-up. At the end of the month you get one invoice, and every line on it can be recalculated from the parking actions.
Parking for work? With SimplePark Business, employees park for work and for themselves in the same app, and the organization gets one invoice a month instead of expense claims.
SimplePark works on the street in cities across the Netherlands. Add as many license plates as you like. A question? Send us a WhatsApp, day and night.
SimplePark B.V.
Limit 4,000, and only the first three lines show before more, so the first two paragraphs carry the idea and the price on their own. The rest is the story in the order a day goes: you arrive, we stop on time, the price is the one you saw. There are no headings and no bullets, because the store has no formatting and a list of features is exactly what every other parking app already shows. The facts people check (end time, invoice, license plates, Business, support) are all still in there, just in a sentence instead of a list.
Keywords
parkeren,parkeerapp,parkeerzone,kenteken,straatparkeren,parkeertijd,parkeerkosten,zakelijk parkeren
Limit 100 characters, separated by commas with no spaces. These are search terms in the language of the listing, which is why they are Dutch. Never repeat a word that is already in the name or subtitle, and never put a competitor's name in here.
What's new
Short, in one or two sentences, in the voice of the app. Say what changed for the person who parks, and leave out the version number and the technical detail.
| Do | Don't |
|---|---|
| You can now add a second license plate from the map. | Bug fixes and performance improvements. |
| We now remind you 15 minutes before your parking action stops. | We've been hard at work on exciting updates! |
Screenshots
Five screenshots, in this order. Each has one headline of at most six words on the cool mesh, with a real screen of the app below it, and the pin and headline stay in the same place on all five. Use real screens with a Dutch zone code and a plausible amount, as on social.
| # | Headline | Screen |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Parked in seconds. | The map with the parking card and Start parking |
| 2 | See the rate before you start. | The parking card with the zone, the rate and the maximum time |
| 3 | We stop on time. | The end time sheet |
| 4 | On your lock screen. | The Live Activity |
| 5 | One invoice a month. | The invoice under Activities |
The first three are the only ones most people see, so the price and the stopping are in them. A screenshot that names € 0.29 names the top-up fee in its caption.
Google Play
Google Play takes the same copy, with these differences.
| Field | Copy | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| App name | SimplePark | 30 |
| Short description | Parked in seconds. | 80 |
| Full description | The App Store description | 4,000 |
- The short description is the subtitle, word for word, so people meet one sentence in every place.
- Drop the lock screen line from the full description wherever the Android app has no Live Activity. The listing describes the app people download.
- Play has no separate keyword field; the full description is what gets searched, so the words parkeren, kenteken and parkeerzone appear in the Dutch text in their natural place, never in a list.
Replies to reviews
Replies come from SimplePark, in the we form and with the same tone as support: answer first, then context. A reply to a complaint says what happened and what we do about it, and offers WhatsApp for anything we need to look at together. We never ask for a better rating, and we never quote a review elsewhere without its source (see social).
