Profile

The profile picture is the pin, white on SimplePark blue. Every network crops it to a circle, so upload a square file and keep the pin in the middle, at about 40% of the width. Never put the full logo in a profile picture: the name is already next to it.

The cover banner uses the cool mesh, with one line and the logo on the right. The left side stays empty, because that is where the profile picture overlaps the banner. The dashed lines show the profile picture and, for Facebook, the part that stays visible on a phone.

Posts

Feed posts are portrait, 4 : 5, because that takes the most room in the feed on Instagram and Facebook. Every post is built on the same grid: the logo at the top left, an optional product snippet in the middle, and the text at the bottom left, inside a margin of 7.5% on every side. A soft shade at the bottom keeps white text readable on the light end of a mesh.

Kinds of post

Twelve kinds, on five surfaces. The surface tells people what kind of post it is before they read it.

SurfaceUsed for
Cool meshStatements, features and support: the default.
Deep meshPrice and cities: the posts with one big fact. The price is the only number set in orange.
Warm meshReminders, business and the dry wink: the posts with warmth.
NavyWorked examples, with a product snippet that needs calm around it.
Light blueReviews, how it works and tips: the posts you read rather than glance at. No grain.
  • One claim per post, at most eight words of headline and two lines of body.
  • A post that names € 0.29 names the top-up fee too, in the footnote or the body.
  • Reviews are real, quoted word for word, with their source. Never write a review yourself. The review in these examples is a placeholder, marked as one; a live post quotes a real review.
  • Product snippets are real screens, with real-looking data: a Dutch zone code, a plausible amount.

Your feed

What the profile looks like with these twelve posts, newest first. Alternate the surfaces so no two neighbors share one, across a row and down a column, and the grid reads as a rhythm instead of one template repeated.

The profile grid crops every 4 : 5 post to 3 : 4. Keep text away from the outer 4% on the left and right. Follower numbers are made up for the example.
  • Plan in rows of three. Every new post shifts the grid by one, so check the last nine before you post.
  • At most one price post in nine, and never two light posts next to each other.
  • The profile picture and highlights stay the same; highlights use the three mesh surfaces as covers.

Square and landscape

Use square only where portrait doesn't fit, and landscape for a link post on Facebook or LinkedIn.

Carousels

A carousel tells one short story in three to six slides: the hook, what you see, what it costs, and what to do next. The mesh runs across all slides as one picture, so each swipe moves you along it. Every slide has the logo and its number at the top, the text at the same height, and Swipe at the bottom of every slide but the last.

Stories and reels

Stories are 9 : 16. The platform covers the top 250px with the profile and the bottom 340px with the reply bar, so nothing important goes there: the dashed areas show them. A story ends with one call to action on a white button.

Writing for social

Social has the most room for a dry wink, never at the expense of the customer and never about money or fines (see tone of voice). Posts are published in Dutch; the examples here are in English, like the rest of this site.
